We were replacing existing blinds and knew the exact sizes we needed by measuring the old ones. Hunter Douglas proved completely incapable of making blinds in the sizes we ordered. After two failed attempts, we finally resorted to providing window dimensions and let them calculate the blind size we needed. You would think that when a customer orders a blind that is 48 inches wide, they could somehow figure out how to make it 48 inches wide. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. [...]

The shade we installed was for a large window. Like most "home projects," we feared the worst when it came time for the installation (would it take 5 hours or so....?). But to our surprise - and relief - it was a simple process, and the entire installation took less than an hour. And it looks great!
