It does the job blocking the street light from a small window. Fits very well inside the window. The cord doesn't pull the shade up and down evenly. Also the plastic cord tip keeps breaking in two. I shoud have spent a little bit more money and bought the cordless shade.

We were looking at a higher priced product but for financial reasons bought these. We had no idea they would look so beautiful. They fit perfectly into the window and we keep remarking 6 months later how good they look. The only thing I found that was not easy to choose was the side the pull was. They didn't say which side the pull was if you were facing the blind.

We love the black out shade option for both the light control and the temperature control We just wish that it would be available with the top down option in wider size selection. We had to purchase two separate shades and butt them up to each other for the windown that we have.

I used to work for a window blind company in the early 90's so I am familar with the quality products blindsaver has to offer. I check around at the local blind companies and hardware stores and found that blindsaver had the lowest prices. As long as you don't mind installing the blinds yourself this is a great way to go.

I have had the shades for almost a year now and love them. They insulate very well in the winter months here in Northern MN. They look fabulous and have many comments on them. I would buy again but wishing I would have choosen a neutral color instead of the chocolate brown in my living room. ON the spendy side for me but was well worth it.
