This blind matches my kitchen cabinetry beautifully. It replaces an old stationary insulated curtain that kept the room warmer in the winter, however. But the blind looks nice and makes it easier to let a little or a lot of light into the room.

These blinds are not great, not bad, so I consider then completely adequate. I would recommend them with certain preconditions. These are the several key points to consider:
--I found the blinds difficult to install due to a center reinforcement that is a poor design and extremely difficult to align. This is only included on longer spans (maybe 36" or longer)
--I measured the exact height of the window opening and assumed the blinds would have a little extra length. Well, you know the expression about assuming. Bottom line--not having enough slats causes the blinds to not block light well (which is why I chose wood) at the bottom 1/3 of the window. They do not tell you this, but make sure you add 4" to your height to provide some cord looseness and ensure proper light blockage. Otherwise, the lowest slat gets hung up on the bottom piece, not aligning itself to the other slats, and lets in tons of light.
--The standard valence looks terrible. The picture showing a mitered joint is completely misleading. What you get is a slab of wood that serves as an everyday reminder of what a cheapskate you were when you elected not to spend $12 more per blind.

These blinds went in our bedroom. We recently redone the room and the blinds are a nice addition. The cloth tapes make a nice accent to the blinds and also to rest of the room. They fit well and were easy to install. This is a good product and we will use this web site again.
