In eight blinds I found two methods of guarding against wand scars and one with no protection. I found some without the bottom slat glued to the bottom rail. QC doesn't seem very stringent.

Havana blind looks great in the room. Matches the vanity well. Easy to install. Only problem I have with the blind is that without using the spacers/extenders, the valance returns are way too long. So currently, I don't have the side returns installed until I can use a table saw to trim them to the correct size. Other than that small complaint, like I said, the blind looks great in the room.

My husband and I installed our brand new Hunter Douglas Chalet Woods blinds in the Whispering Birch color in our bathroom this weekend. They were not difficult to install, but I wouldn't say they were easy either. Use of a power drill for drilling pilot holes and screws was helpful.

I ordered the blinds as part of a bathroom remodel. The Whispering Birch color is attractive but not quite as white as I would have liked. The white has a bit of a yellowish cast to it. The quality of the blinds is appropriate for the price paid. They look nice in the room and are effective in blocking the view of the 3-story apartment next door to our home. The slats can be adjusted to block the view while still allowing light into the room.

I had ordered the blinds with the Standard Valance. However, I just realized that they came with, and we installed them with the Chancelor Valance. It doesn't really matter though, I thought both of the valances offered are ugly. Personally I would prefer something plainer.

The Chalet Woods were the closest I could find to what I was looking for short of making them myself.
