These blinds offer some privacy, but are see-through and do not block light. We bought them for beauty in a family room, not privacy, and they are perfect. [...] You do not need to order these blinds with binding or backing - they are most beautiful just how they are.

This review is directed at Hunter Douglas and not Blindsaver. I felt Blindsaver was helpful and responsive to my concerns. However, Hunter Douglas has a "light-filtering" definition that is ridiculous. While the wood blinds are beautiful, the fabric for the light-filtering is completely room darkening. The room is blacked out when those blinds are in the down position and that's not what I was looking for. I am extremely dissapointed in how this looks in my living room. And of course because these are sized to my windows, they won't take them back. I guess that's the downside of ordering online.

They are a fantastic product!

These blinds have transformed our home. We had Hunter Douglas blinds before and they really didnt need replacing but we were going for a little different feeling so we did. It was hard to take down the old ones (10 years) seeing that they were still working prefectly, but we did, and we really love the new look and feel the new blinds give our home. We feel like we have done a complete remodel and really all we did was put up our new blinds.
